Weighing just 3.45 ounces, the MT2A Pro is highly portable and easy to carry, whether clipped to your pocket or using the included lanyard. The flashlight is also built to withstand the rigors of everyday use, with an impact resistance of up to 1 meter and an IP68 rating for reliable performance in any environment.
To activate the light, simply press the user-friendly switch located on the tailcap. From there, you can adjust the brightness by gently tapping the switch when the light is on. The MT2A Pro remembers the last brightness setting used, providing a convenient and customizable experience.
The included NL1416R rechargeable battery features an integrated USB-C charging port, allowing you to recharge the cell directly. An indicator light on the battery will illuminate red during charging and switch to green when fully charged.
When powered by the rechargeable battery, the MT2A Pro offers three brightness settings, reaching up to the maximum 1000 lumens. Alternatively, when using 2x AA batteries, the light provides two settings, delivering up to 500 lumens. There is no Strobe or SOS mode.
Compared to other Nitecore flashlight models, the MT2A Pro stands out for its slim, compact design and AA battery compatibility, making it a versatile EDC option. The Nitecore MT1C Pro offers a similar 1000-lumen output but with a larger form factor, while the MT2C Pro is the most powerful at 1800 lumens. The MT1A, on the other hand, is a more budget-friendly option with a maximum of 180 lumens.
